Camera Angle

Camera Angle is the view point from which the subject of the shot is depicted (captured).

Things related to Camera Angle are

  • Subject size: How much the subject fills the frame, based on that Long shot, Mid shot, Close shot will be seen on screen.
  • Horizontal position: Lateral perspective of subject.
  • Vertical position: Height of the camera in relation to the subject. Bird-eye, High, Medium, Low, Worm’s-eye angles are common.
  • Lens Focal Length: Angle of view & subject magnification.
  • Camera level: Horizontal lines & Horizons.
  • Dutch Angles: also known as Dutch tilt, Canted angle, oblique angle: setting camera at an angle on its roll axis.

Note: The Camera Angle give a different experience, sometimes different emotion or feel to the viewer.
